These terms apply when you install and use ThanksTo, a Shopify app that credits your store's orders to the posts, creators, discount codes and other sources that brought them in. ThanksTo is operated by CleverApps ("we"). By installing the app you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what data the app uses.

The service

• ThanksTo records storefront visits through a Shopify web pixel and receives your orders from Shopify.
• It matches orders to visits where it can, credits other orders from the order data Shopify provides, and shows the rest as not tracked. Attribution depends on shoppers' privacy choices, browsers and the data Shopify shares, so reports are estimates and some orders can't be credited.
• It adds tags to credited orders in Shopify unless you turn this off in Settings.
• You are responsible for your store's privacy notice and cookie settings, and for having a lawful basis to collect visit data.

Plans and billing

• Plans are billed by Shopify through your Shopify invoice. You can change or cancel your plan in the app at any time.
• Each plan covers a number of orders per calendar month in your store's timezone.
• Orders over that number are still recorded; who to thank for them is hidden until you move to a plan that covers them or the next month starts. There are no overage charges.
• Paid plans may include a free trial. Fees are not charged as a percentage of your sales.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law, to collect data you aren't allowed to collect, or to interfere with the service or other stores.

Your data

Your store's data stays yours. We use it to provide the app, as described in the privacy policy, and for nothing else, and delete it after you uninstall (once Shopify sends its data deletion request, about 48 hours after you uninstall).

Data processing

These terms are the agreement between you and us for the personal data of your customers, store visitors and creators that the app handles.

• You decide why that data is collected and are its controller. We process it for you, as your processor, on the instructions set out in these terms and in the settings you choose in the app.
• We process it only to provide the app. We don't sell it or use it for our own marketing.
• The data, how long we keep it and how it is deleted are set out in the privacy policy. Requests Shopify sends us to delete a customer's data are carried out, and data requests are answered within 30 days.
• Anyone we allow to access the data must keep it confidential. We protect it with encrypted connections and encrypted access tokens, and limit access to what is needed to run the app.
• We use Cloudflare to host the app, store its data and send its email, and may add or replace such providers by updating the privacy policy. Each is bound to protect the data, and Cloudflare may process it outside your country. You agree to this use.
• If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your store's data, we will tell you without undue delay and give you the information we have.
• We will help you, where reasonable, to answer requests from people about their data and to show that these terms are followed.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available and accurate, but it is provided "as is", without warranties, to the extent the law allows. We may change features; we'll tell you in the app before a change that affects your plan.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using ThanksTo at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend the app for a store that breaks these terms.
